Over the night of Tuesday the 20th into the morning of Wednesday the 21st of October
the Orionid meteor shower will peak
if you do plan to observe / image this event remember to dress for the conditions
can you let me know, best place to watch he shower or can you include me in your public events so that i can participate to watch the show
Hi lakshmikanth,
The Orionids are not the most active shower anymore so I don’t think the Society has any plans to organise a group observing session, although the members do operate a meteor camera (see here for Perseid report https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXJ1vf70mIY) and we do have the Geminids in December, I think your best bet would be to come along to our weekly zoom meetings, whilst these are not specifically about meteors, society business is discussed after the professional lecture finishes. Please contact our secretary, Mike, on secretary@crayfordmanorastro.com for more details. I look forward to meeting you 🙂
