From approx 01.00 hrs to 04.15 hrs on the morning of Friday the 6th of May
the Eta Aquarid meteor shower will reach it’s peak
unfortunately the radiant will not gain a reasonable altitude
until dawn starts to break in the Eastern sky
with a possible ZHR of between 30-50 meteors an hour
this shower is part of Halley’s comet
there is always the possibility of some nice bright trails across the sky
if you do plan to observe / image this event remember to dress for the conditions
