This event is entirely weather dependent

Our plan to open the pavilion may be cancelled on the day

if weather conditions are unfavourable

On the Morning of Tuesday the 25th of October

there is a partial Solar Eclipse between 10.00 hrs to 12.00 Hrs (inclusive)

with first contact around 10.07 hrs when the Sun will be 15-16° above the horizon

with greatest eclipse at 10.58 Hrs when the Sun will be 20° above the horizon

 last contact will be at 11.50Hrs when the Sun will be 23° above the horizon

all times are approximate at may vary slightly at your location

Sky Conditions Permitting

Members of the Society plan to be at the pavilion

 to offer safe views of this event through their telescopes

everybody would be welcome to come along

Never look at the Sun directly or through any optical equipment

without the correct use of a suitable Solar Filter

if you plan to observe / image this event remember to dress for the conditions
