The Moon Occults Part Of The Pleiades (M45)

In the pre dawn sky of Friday the 10th of October

from approx 06.20 hrs BST / 05.20 hrs UTC

until approx 08.00 hrs BST /07.00 hrs UTC

above the SW horizon an 87% illuminated waning gibbous Moon

will occult part of the Pleiades open cluster (M45)

with sunrise at 07.17 hrs BST /06.17 hrs UTC the encroaching sunlight

will obscure the end of the occultation at approx  08.00 hrs BST / 07.00 hrs UTC

as the Sun will be rising above the horizon

WITHOUT THE CORRECT SOLAR FILTER FITTED TO YOUR EQUIPMENT

OR SOLAR SAFETY GLASSES FOR YOUR EYES
