Mr Barry Kellet, RAL, The Ladies of Observatory Hill
Jan 24 @ 7:45 pm – 9:45 pm

Could this talk be about Harvard Collage Observatory ?, if so it may well be about:- Annie Jump Cannon ( 1863-1941),  who photographed millions of stars with a prism equipped telescope, and  Celia Payne-Gapocschkin (1900-1979)  who studied under a man who resented her presence Ernest Rutherford, no doubt Barry will reveal all.

Mr Nick Hewitt, BAA, ‘Dark Nebulae’.
Mar 21 @ 7:45 pm – 9:45 pm

As a former deep sky section director, and  keen amateur astronomer, Nick will no doubt be able to give us an interesting lecture, as there are several to choose from.

Including perhaps the most well known the horse head nebula, along with several others including, ( in no particular order), the snake nebula, lupus 4, the great dark horse nebula, Barnard 147 & 150, & the pipe nebula.
