A Jovian Moon Shadow And Moon Transit

During the night of Tuesday the 23rd of December above the E – SE horizon

from approx 19.45 hrs to approx 23.09 hrs Ganymede’s shadow will transit across the planet’s disc

and from approx 21.20 hrs to approx 23.09 hrs Ganymede will transit across the planet’s disc

if you plan to observe / image these event’s remember to dress for the conditions

A Saturnian Moon Transit
Dec 24 @ 4:00 pm – 11:30 pm

From the early evening into the night of Wednesday the 24th of December

above the SE – W horizon from approx 16.25 hrs to approx 23.05 hrs

Saturn’s Moon Titan will transit across the planet’s disc

as Saturn will set below the horizon from approx 22.45 hrs

the end of this transit will not be visible 

if you plan to observe / image this event remember to dress for the conditions

Two Jovian Moon’s & A Jovian Moon’s Shadow transit
Dec 24 @ 6:00 pm – 9:15 pm

As the planet Jupiter rises above the NE – E horizon from approx 18.15 hrs to approx 21.00 hrs

the Moon’s Io and Callisto along with Io’s shadow will be in transit across the planet’s disc

Callisto will complete it’s transit across the planets disc at approx 21.00 hrs

A Christmas Day ISS Pass

In the early hours of Thursday the 25th of December

from approx 06.16 hrs to 06.21 hrs

travelling from W – E a Mag -3.8 an ISS pass will be visible 

during this pass the ISS will reach a maximum altitude of 71.8° above the horizon
